 Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Habiteer Workshop FAQ. If you have a question about our custom scale model figures, 3D printing services, or existing orders, you’ll find the answers below.

Custom Commissions & Orders
How do I request a quote for a custom scale model or prop? The best way to start is through our [Contact Form]. Please include the character name, desired scale (e.g., 1/6, 1/12), and any links reference images or 3D files you have. We provide a detailed quote based on the complexity and material requirements of your project.

What is your current lead time for custom work?

Lead times vary depending on our current queue and the complexity of the project. Generally, raw 3D printed kits ship within 1–4 weeks, while fully painted and finished scale figures can take 12+ weeks. We will provide an estimated completion date with your quote and in the description of the item. Please note that every piece that leaves our shop is a 1 of a kind so there may be additional delays.

Can you print a file I purchased or found online (e.g., from MyMiniFactory or Patreon)?

Yes! We offer "Print-Only" services. You can send us your STL files, and we will handle the professional resin or FDM printing. Please ensure you have the appropriate license for the file if it is a commercial project.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, Habiteer Workshop ships worldwide from our studio in Houston, Texas. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs fees or import taxes.

How are items packaged for safety?

We take extreme care in packaging. Custom figures and props are often "double-boxed" with ample cushioning (bubble wrap/foam) to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. For very large props, we may ship them in modular pieces that require simple assembly. Also when possible we generally try to ship in a custom case to ensure there will be no damage to your item.

What materials do you use for your 3D prints?
We use high-resolution durable ABS like SLA (Resin) for scale models and miniatures to ensure maximum detail and a smooth finish. For larger, structural props or cosplay items, we generally use industrial-grade FDM (PLA/PETG) for durability and strength.

Do your models come painted or "raw"?
We offer both! You can purchase "Kits" (raw prints that are cleaned and cured, ready for you to sand, assemble and paint) or "Finished" (fully sanded, assembled, and hand-painted by our artists).

Can you scale a model to a specific height?
Absolutely. We can resize 3D files to meet your specific requirements, whether you need a tabletop miniature or a life-size display piece.

Do you offer refunds on custom commissions? Due to the bespoke nature of custom scale models and 3D prints, we cannot offer refunds once production has begun. However, we provide progress photos throughout the process to ensure the final product meets your expectations. In addition if you wish to halt production in the early stages and transfer your payment to another piece that may be possible as well.

What should I do if my item arrives damaged? While we package items securely, accidents can happen during transit. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with full 360 photos of the package, packaging and the damage so we can assist you with a replacement or repair.
